2012 comes the new Titanic
The sinking of the titanic will hit 100 in 2012. A company is setting up a trans-Atlantic cruise to do the exact same route.
The cruise is set to depart on the 8th April 2012 on the same day and the same time as the original ship did back in the day. Southampton is set to be the departure point just like it was for the Titanic. The ship will also stop in Ireland just like the Titanic did.
The ship is going to arrive on the spot where the Titanic sunk at 11.40 which is when it hit the iceburg. 2am is around the time the ship will carry on with its journey to New York.the time in which the ship sank was 2am.
During these hours the ship will actually have a memorial service to remember the awful accident that occured here. There is going to be food from the time as well as historic lectures on board.
710 cabins are needed to contain the 1,350 passengers on top of the 150 crew members. Although this is the best gift for a history lover this isnt going to come cheap. This is truly going to be the luxury cruises of a life time.
It could be that you are a fan of the film in which you are still likely to be interested in this as a lot of the film was based on the historic event even though the main Rose and Jack were fictional.
Of course most of the cheaper cabins for the price above have already sold out so perhaps if you are interested in taking a cruise you should think about taking another cruise like one of those Rhine River Cruises or perhaps Silversea cruises would be a better move to make.
